Aesthetically Pleasing Book Tag

Hello Again!

I meant to have this book tag up this weekend but was quite busy with my fiance's birthday and a sweet 16! I wanted to do the aesthetically pleasing book tag to show off some of my favorite book covers. I hope you enjoy!

Best Color Combo- Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I love the color combo of the blue and the golden yellow. It really makes this book pop. I also love the detail of the moths. This cover really helps you to see into the book and it's colorful and creative text.

Best Typography/ Font- Ever the Brave by Erin Summerill

I really love everything about this cover but I especially love the font, which was also the font for the first novel, Ever the Hunted. The scrolling text and flourishes really give the title a regal and adventurous look to match the text inside.

Best Simple Cover- A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

Although the cover of the first book in the series is simple, it is stunning. The detail in the illustration helps you to visualize what the character's in the novel might see. This is a really fun cover for an amazing book.

Best End Pages/ Inside Cover- The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert

Although I have not read this book yet, I am in love with the end pages which feature a tree, vine, and flower print. This is really unique as most end pages don't have a design and certainly not one as detailed as this.

Best Map- A Court of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas (Prythian)

The maps created for the worlds of Sarah J. Maas's Throne of Glass and ACOTAR series are so detailed and well designed. I chose the map of Prythian, from the ACOTAR series because I love how it shows all the details of the many countries in this story.

Best Naked Cover- Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore

I love taking the book sleeve off a hardback book because some books hide a secret design on their covers. Bitterblue has one of the more unique designs, featuring a key. I love this cover both because of its purple color and because the key is so well designed and is a motif throughout the book.

Best Back Cover- Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas

Every Throne of Glass book is unique because it features the back design of our main characters, usually in a different outfit from the front. I love these covers for this design reason. They are all so well designed and unique.

Best Chapter Headers/ Page Embellishments- Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore

I chose Bitterblue again because the lovely key design is also featured as a chapter embellishment. I love the design details this book features and also enjoy the pages separating parts of the book that feature unique illustrations.

Best Illustrations- Renegades by Marissa Meyer

I'm not one to usually fall in love with sci- fi books but I couldn't pass this book up. The design is very well illustrated and unique. It's truly in a category of its own.

Best Spine- Traitor's Kiss by Erin Beaty

This book is a new purchase for me and has one of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. To my surprise, when I removed the book sleeve the spine was so beautifully decorated that I knew it had to be on this tag. I love the rose design and the burgundy color.

Favorite Cover of All Shelves- Graceling by Kristin Cashore

I have loved the cover of this book for quite some time. Frankly, I love all the covers in this series but this one is my favorite. I love the gorgeous faded design along the edges as well as the great detail of the eye reflecting in the dagger. This book was a cover buy for me but I fell in love with the series as well.

Best Set/ Matching- The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare

I just love the matching spines on this set. It's a gorgeous design even if it isn't my favorite series.

Hope you enjoyed this book tag! It was fun to show off some of the prettier covers I own. Which book cover is your favorite? Look out for the February ShelfLove Crate Unboxing coming tomorrow!
