February Wrap Up
Hello Again!
Just like that, we're 2 months into 2018. This month went especially fast for me because of all the anniversaries and birthdays. It also doesn't help that the month is 2 days shorter than the others. I still managed to read 11.5 books this month which was pretty impressive considering the shortness of the month. See what I read this month below! Enjoy!
Books Read
Everless by Sara Holland
I started my month with Everless by Sara Holland. I received this book in my January Unicorn Crate and was pretty excited to start it. This book was better than I had thought it would be. I really enjoyed Everless and it's really unique story. It also had some great character development and plot twists. I can't wait to get my hands on the second novel.

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
I hadn't planned to read this book in February but I fell into a kind of slump after Everless and decided to pick this up instead of my next read. I had low expectations for this book for whatever reason and it more than exceeded them. I loved this book and read it so fast. I loved how unique the story was since I haven't read alot of pirate novels. Looking forward to picking up the sequel next month.

Legend by Marie Lu
I also hadn't planned to read this book in February but I decided to shake it up as this is not the usual genre I read. I had heard alot of good things about Marie Lu so decided to start reading her with this novel. I really enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and am also looking forward to reading this sequel next month. The dual dialogue made it great to read and I loved branching out into a sub genre I normally don't read.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
I read this book as a part of our buddy read for February and this is definitely the best book I read this month. This story is another unique tale (apparently it was a month for that) and I highly enjoyed the magic in this story's universe. I also enjoyed the dual dialogue in this novel as well between the main characters. The sequel to this book is another that I will be picking up next month.

Hunted by Meagan Spooner
If you haven't guessed by now, I pretty much blew off my TBR for this month and here is another novel that I hadn't planned on reading. Hunted is a take on Beauty and the Beast and was quite enjoyable to read. I wish there were more novels in this series or that the author would do another fairy tale retelling because I love reading those.

Vampire Academy #1-6 by Richelle Mead
This series was actually on my TBR and I was really looking forward to reading it since it's been quite a while since I read it last. I really love this series, it has so much depth and the action and character development is great. I only got through 5.5 of the 6 books which was disappointing but will finish the other half of book 6 promptly.

Belle: A Retelling of Beauty and the Beast by Cameron Dokey
Ironically, I ended up reading not one, but two Beauty and the Beast retelling this month. This book is part of a series of short novels that are all fairytale retellings and I love this series. I have read quite a few but not all of them and decided to slip this book in at the end of the month. I didn't enjoy this story as much as I thought I would and I think it had major pacing issues but I'm still going to continue and read more of the series.

Total Books Read = 11.5
Although I didn't get through as many books as I wanted to this month, I still read quite a few pages. I have an ambitious TBR set for next months and hopefully will be able to get through 13 books again. Thanks for reading! See you in March!
