Special Throne of Glass Edition Bookish Box Unboxing
Hello There! After ordering this box on January 1st (yes it took that long), I finally received the Throne of Glass box 2 months later... To say I was pretty disappointed is an understatement. I bought 1 Bookish Box for December and was disappointed in that crate also so I should have known better but I was too excited about a Throne of Glass themed box. See exactly what was in the box below!
There were 6 items in the box which was pretty disappointing in itself since I spent nearly $50 on this crate. Of the 6 items, I only ended up keeping two and selling the rest.
The first item in the Manon themed candle from Whiskey Diamond Candle Co. which I ended up keeping because I love that character and the candle smelled pretty good.
The next item is the tumbler created by Bookworm Boutique which featured a quote that I didn't recognize. This is one of the items I ended up selling. The design was pretty simplistic and I had no idea where that quote came from (and I know alot of quotes from this series). This design was a hit and a miss for me.
The next and largest item was the book sleeve created by Book Beau. I love this quote from the books but was really disappointed in the overly simplistic design and material of the book sleeve. I sold this item as well.
The next item was the enamel pin created by Ink & Wonder. This was another of the items I loved because of it's design, quality, and quote. I love this company and have several of their items so I was excited to add this to my collection.
The next item in the crate was a print of Elide and Lorcan created by Gariella Budjuso. This is a beautiful print but I don't particularly care for these characters one way or another. I was also pretty mad that the artist's signature was cut off in the print. This shows the poor quality of whoever had this print made and I also sold this item.
The last item in the crate was a t- shirt featuring a quote from Empire of Storms that I am particularly fond of. The problem with this item is that I don't wear t- shirts very often and have no idea if I would use this item. I'm still holding onto this item until I decide what to do with it.
Overall, I was quite disappointed with this box, especially considering the price. It's baffling to me how there were no items featuring the 2 main protagonists of the book, who happen to be my favorite, and this was probably the thing that made me the most irritated. I will most definitely never be buying from Bookish Box again and would discourage anyone else from buying from them as I have heard they have terrible customer service as well as sub par boxes.
Hopefully my next box won't be nearly as disappointing and if it's from another company I'm sure it won't. Thanks for reading! Keep an eye out for my first book tag of the month this weekend.
