Disney Princess Book Tag
Hello Again!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a busy one, doing various wedding things since my wedding is less than a month away!! I also wanted to do a book tag and I chose the Disney princess book tag because it looked like so much fun! Hope you enjoy my picks!
Snow White (Beautiful edition you don't own)
The UK version of the ADSOM Series by V.E. Schwab
I love this version! I can't wait to buy all of the U.K. versions because I love this series and want multiples of each book! Haha
Cinderella (Made you feel empowered)
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
I have read this book so many times and it always makes me feel like I could be a bad ass warrior woman. The strong female lead in this book has great character development.
Aurora (Fabulous villain)
The Darkling from Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I am so in love with The Darkling from the Grishaverse Trilogy and he is honestly my favorite villain. He has such a tragic past and although most of the things he does are evil, he does them with good intentions and you can't help but feel for him.
Ariel (Takes place in/ on/ by sea)
Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
This is the only book I have that takes place on the sea (at least right now). I put off reading this book for a while because for some reason I didn't think it would be good! I couldn't have been more wrong, this book is amazing and I can't wait to read the sequel!
Belle (With your ideal library)
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Anyone who has read Strange the Dreamer knows that Lazlo works at the most spectacular library. It has countless books and never ceases to end for Lazlo. This would be an awesome library to hang out in for a while.
Jasmine (Brave protagonist)
Yeva, Hunted by Meagan Spooner
I recently read this Beauty and the Beast retelling and the protagonist of this novel, Yeva, was a very brave and strong protagonist. She exudes strength and bravery even though she is frightened at times and was a really bad ass heroine.
Pocohontas (Take with you on a camping trip)
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
I chose ACOMAF because I can always reread this novel so I would probablt enjoy taking it with me on a camping trip!
Mulan (Warrior protagonist)
Eona by Alison Goodman
I read this book in high school originally and loved it profusely. The protagonist of this novel is a girl who pretends to be a boy (this is really like Mulan) to fulfill her destiny and in this second novel, she comes into her own as a real warrior.
Tiana (Made you hungry)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
I am including the entire Harry Potter series here but chose to show the third book because it's my favorite. There are so many delectable snacks and meals in this series and have wanted to try so many of them! I have tried at few at Harry Potter World which was awesome!
Rapunzel (Adorable animal sidekick)
Faraway, The Iron Butterfly Series by Chanda Hahn
One of the best parts about this series is the animal companion that Thalia, the main protagonist, has with her throughout the series. Faraway is Thalia's guardian and protects her as well as helping her to learn to control her magic and fight. He has great dialogue with her and is integral to the series.
Merida (Good mother/ daughter relationship)
Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
So the relationship here is actually grandmother/ granddaughter relationship but it was the only one I could think of! Ash has a great relationship with her grandmother in this novel and it continues to develop.
Ana (Inspiring female frendship/ sisterly bond)
Lysandra and Aelin, Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J Maas
The friendship the develops between Lysandra and Aelin in this novel is a close one and they get even closer in the next novel as well. This friendship borders on a sisterly bond and is the closest female relationship she has in the series other than that of Nehemiya.
Elsa (Protagonist who fought depression and won)
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
This book is far more complex than the synopsis makes it seem and Jude, the main character, struggles throughout the novel with loneliness, fear, anxiety and other facets of depression. She overcomes her fear and it strengthens her in a way as this wonderful novel unfolds.
That's it for today! Hope you enjoyed his book tag, I know I did! Keep an eye out for my next post, the recipe for my bridal shower cake! :)
