April OwlCrate Unboxing
Hello Again!
I know I haven't posted much this month but everything should be back to normal now! Who knew a wedding could be so tiring? Haha I got this month's OwlCrate this weekend and was so excited to unbox it! See what was inside below! Enjoy!
April Theme: Shadows and Secrets
Goodies
Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Coffee from Bones Coffee Company I'm not a coffee drinker personally, I prefer tea, but this seems like a deliciously unique mix!
Crooked Kingdom Pillowcase designed by Stella Bookish Art I haven't read this book yet but it's on my TBR! I love the design of this pillowcase although I don't know if I'll actually use the product.
Legendary by Stephanie Garber Sampler Again, this is a sequel for a book I haven't read yet but I dearly want to. This was a great item to include as Legendary releases next month.
Goodies Cont.
The Young Elites sticker designed by Jamila Mehio I am currently reading this author's other series and intend to start this series afterward. The design on this is so unique and I love getting stickers in boxes.
Shadowhunters Soap from Three Sisters Apothecary by Soap Cauldron I've never heard of this company but will definitely be shopping from them! This soap smells amazing and has a homemade texture that I love. Great item!
Harry Potter Pencil Set by Jubilee Designs I don't plan on using these but am excited to display them on my Harry Potter shelf. I love the sayings on these pencils. What a unique item!
Book of the Month
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody
I have heard so many good things leading up to its release and I am so excited to finally read it! This novel is supposed to be similar to Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and I can't wait to crack into it.
Enne Salta was raised as a proper young lady, and no lady would willingly visit New Reynes, the so-called City of Sin. But when her mother goes missing, Enne must leave her finishing school—and her reputation—behind to follow her mother’s trail to the city where no one survives uncorrupted. Frightened and alone, her only lead is a name: Levi Glaisyer. Unfortunately, Levi is not the gentleman she expected—he’s a street lord and a con man. Levi is also only one payment away from cleaning up a rapidly unraveling investment scam, so he doesn't have time to investigate a woman leading a dangerous double life. Enne's offer of compensation, however, could be the solution to all his problems. Their search for clues leads them through glamorous casinos, illicit cabarets and into the clutches of a ruthless mafia donna. As Enne unearths an impossible secret about her past, Levi's enemies catch up to them, ensnaring him in a vicious execution game where the players always lose. To save him, Enne will need to surrender herself to the city…
Crate Score
Overall, I was pleased with this crate. Most of the items in this crate were unique and I had not seen them in a crate before. Although I won't be keeping all the items in this crate, I think more effort was put into curating the items for this crate than for the last 2 months of OwlCrates. I can't wait to crack into the book next month and I hope it's as good as I've heard! I give this crate 4 out of 5 stars. This wasn't the best crate I've ever received but I certainly enjoyed it.
This was a good crate. Well done OwlCrate! I'm lookign forward to seeing what is in next mont's crate. The theme for next month is 'Fight Like a Girl' and I can't wait to see what the book is! Be on the look out for my ShelfLove Crate unboxing later this week! See ya!
