April Fairyloot Unboxing

Hello Again!

I'm sorry for all the spam this week but I need to catch up on my unboxings! As you can see by the title, this is April's Fairyloot. Due to some items coming late, this crate shipped last and I didn't receive it until the second week of May. This month had some great items and I wad thrilled with how much better this was curated than my first Fairyloot. See what I received below! Enjoy!

April Theme: Whimsical Journeys

Goodies

  • Leif's Ship Candle by Flick the Wick (Inspired by this month's book) This candle smells delightful and I love that they themed it with this month's book! A nice touch

  • Percy Jackson "Blackjack" Enamel Pin by Taratjah I don't see too many PJ items in crates but I love that series and I appreciate that it's an enamel pin even more!

  • Fantastic Beasts Luggage Tag Not sure I would ever use this but the design is cute and it's a unique item for a crat

  • Darkest Mind Notepad by by Little Inkling Designs I have yet to read this series but stationery products are some of my favorite to receive in crates

  • Fictional Places Print by Fictiontea Designs This print is well designed and is absolutely adorable, I think I might frame it so it isn't stuck behind any one thing!

  • Reusable Narnia Coffee Mug by Ink and Wonder I love the design of this (Ink and Wonder is fabulous) but I wish the top closed so there would be no chance of spillage, a really cute item though!

  • The Hobbit Tote Bag by Stella's Bookish Art I love this tote! It's got a great quote and is beautifully designed. I've got quite a tote collection now!

Book of the Month

Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake

Viking inspired books are all the rage right now and this one sounds excellent. This book is of course, on my TBR and I'm intrigued to see what kind of viking mythology is pulled into this tale.

The ancient land of Éirinn is mired in war. Ciara, Princess of Mide, has never known a time when Éirinn’s kingdoms were not battling for power, or Northmen were not plundering their shores. The people of Mide have thankfully always been safe because of Ciara’s unearthly ability to control her enemies’ minds and actions. But lately, a mysterious crow has been appearing to Ciara, whispering warnings of an even darker threat. Although her clansmen dismiss her visions as pagan nonsense, Ciara fears this coming evil will destroy not just Éirinn, but the entire world. Then the crow leads Ciara to Leif, a young Northman leader. Leif should be Ciara’s enemy, but when Ciara discovers that he, too, shares her prophetic visions, she knows he’s something more. Leif is mounting an impressive army, and with Ciara’s strength in battle the two might have a chance to save their world. With evil rising around them, they’ll do what it takes to defend the land they love…even if it means making the greatest sacrifice of all.

Crate Score

This was an excellently curated crate. Fairyloot really outdid themselves this month and I even think this makes up for the terrible first box I received from them. The items matched the theme quite well and I'm excited to read this month's book. There were a couple items I'm not sure I'll use but overall, this was a great crate!

That's it for this unboxing, hope you enjoyed seeing

my whimsical goodies! Have a great Hump Day!
