The Greatest Showman Book Tag

Hello Again!

It's time for another book tag! This one comes courtesy of Ashley and looks quite fun. I thought this movie was overrated for so long and refused to watch it. I finally watched it a couple months ago and have seen it 5 times since, this movie is really amazing and the songs are so catchy. Enjoy this Greatest Showman themed book tag!

The Greatest Show - A book that gave you all the feels

I only read Empire of Storms for the first time last December, but it really hit me in the feels. Every Throne of Glass book gets better, the deeper you get into the series and this is so true of this fifth installment. I don't want to spoil anything but if you love this series, or even not, you MUST read it.

A Million Dreams - A book that left you dreaming after finishing

I've been reading the Harry Potter Series since I was in first grade and they have always made me wish I was a witch. All my life I kept wishing I would get my letter to Hogwarts. J.K. Rowling writes with such a perfect blend of fantasy and reality that it really feels like there is a whole other magical world happening right next to us.

Come Alive - A book with a character that finally accepts themselves

I have talked often about Maria V. Snyder's books recently and the second and third book in her Storm Glass series fits this prompt very well. The main character of this series goes one a long and complex journey in this series that is both physical and emotional. Especially in the second and third novels, she struggles to accept herself as she has changed and when she finally does it is wonderful.

The Other Side - Your favorite bromance

When I think bromance, Ari and Janco come to mind first. Also from Maria V. Snyder's books, these lovable warriors have a hilarious dialogue and close relationship. They are actually featured in all three of her trilogies and really lift the mood of any scene they're in. They even have heir own novella! I hope we see more of them in her future books.

Never Enough - An author or book series you could never get enough of

This also happens to be my favorite song from this movie (FYI). What better prompt than to talk about my favorite author, Sarah J. Maas. She is truly the best author I have ever read and even my least favorite of her books is a masterpiece. The way she can write such delicately complex stories is a wonder. Hope she never stops writing!

This is Me - A book you love despite everyone else hating it

I couldn't think of any books I love that are unpopular so I thought I would do just the opposite! I have read quite a few books that everyone seems to love that I don't, but one comes to mind. An Ember in the Ashes is the first in a very popular series and I read it this past March. However, as much praise as I've seen for this series, I found it boring and confusing. I won't be continuing this series and I also won't recommend it.

Rewrite the Stars - Your favorite OTP

My OTP (One True Pairing) has been the same for years. Ever since we met Rowan from Throne of Glass, I knew he and Aelin were meant for each other and I have loved reading them ever since. As the series finishes up in October, I hope we get more Aelin and Rowan moments to remember!

Tightrope - an author/book series that gives you trust issues

When I was in high school, the Divergent series was one of my absolute favorites. However, after the publication of Allegiant, the final installment in this trilogy, it quickly became my least favorite series. There is something that happens at the end of the novel that ruined the whole series for me and I have never been able to read her other works afterwards. Not sure if I ever will!

From Now On - A book you've ignored for so long and finally need to read

Ask anyone, the Throne of Glass series is my absolute favorite. However, to my shame, I have yet to read the sixth book in the Throne of Glass series, Tower of Dawn. Here's my reasoning, this book follows one character in the series who is my least favorite and doesn't feature any of our beloved characters at all. Because of this, I have struggled to start or finish it, but I have committed myself to finishing it this fall!

Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did! I'll be bringing you some more new and exciting book tags soon. Excuse me while I go and rewatch this movie for the 4th time haha. Have a great weekend!
