Cheddar Bay Biscuit Recipe

Hello All! I've been in a baking mood lately and decided to tackle another one of my Pinterest recipes. These biscuits are a hack for the Red Lobster biscuits and I have to say they're pretty close. Enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients

  • BISCUITS

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1 1/2-2 cup shredded cheddar cheese I like sharp cheddar

  • TOPPING:

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 2 tablespoons buttermilk

  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a muffin tin with non- stick spray.

  2. In a large bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder and salt. Add in the buttermilk, butter and cheddar and stir until combined.

  3. Fill the cups about 3/4 of the way and bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden.

  4. While biscuits are baking, combine the topping ingredients and brush the biscuits shortly after they come out of the oven.

The original recipes said to drop the biscuits onto a baking sheet but I decided to give them some shape with my muffin tin. I hope you enjoy making these as much as I did! They're very easy to make and taste absolutely delicious.
